About Us
TradeWatch is a startup that was founded by a new generation of trade compliance practitioners and software developers in the Silicon Valley. We have lived with the legacy compliance practices and tools for years. We all share some of the same challenges. Let's name a few, shall we?
Logistics and compliance personnel and processes are fragmented. Commercial invoices are still being created in Excel with or without an ERP system in place. Compliance procedures aren't really sticking across a global landscape of subsidiaries. We're required to do more with less resources. We take measures to avoid all risk which leads to over-complexity and even non-compliance. We tend to think all trade compliance should be as elaborate and complex as the tools built to manage it.
After a while, these gaps across our field were too common to ignore. We have decades of experience behind us. We started wondering what could be done differently to address these common challenges.
